ANYA Trailer Making buzz on Internet
In recent years Bollywood films prove that cinema is not only for entertainment but also for information, awareness and social change. There are many movies that bring light on the dark side of prostitution, brothels. Bollywood industry is all set to become a trend setter with ‘Anya’ movie which brings light to the sensitive subjects surrounding human trafficking. It may come as a surprise that this full feature film has hidden camera footages, as the movie is a suspenseful which tends to be the rule of thumb for hidden camera films.
‘Anya’ is written & directed by Dr. Simmy Joseph, Produced by Initiative films in association with Capitalwoods Pictures and Co-produced by Sanil Vaippan, Saji Mulakkal and Subod Bhardwaj. The film staring Atul Kulkarni as a Protagonist, Raima Sen making her debut in Marathi film with Prathamesh Parab and others.
Director Dr.Simmy Joseph share his experience by saying, “There seems to be a global misconception that Indian cinema is all about masala movies and raunchy item numbers. This fact is far from reality. Indeed, the Hindi film industry routinely produces exceptional films that shed light on many prevalent social issues like human trafficking and prostitution. Movie has won many awards and entries in many festivals including Official Entry Toronto Independent Film festival, Canada,Best film : Alvsbyn Film festival, Sweden, Best Picture- India International Global film festival Pune and many more. Prathamesh Parab who was last seen in Bollywood hit movie Drishyam is now will be seen as a main character.
The film is all set to hit the theatre on 10th June 2022. Panorama studios is releasing the Hindi version across the India and Pickle Entertainment will release the film in Marathi.

Love In Ukraine is the last romantic action-drama film which was shot in Ukraine before the War, featuring ten Ukrainian artists including lead actress Lizabeta. पवन सिंह और रवि किशन की फ़िल्म “मेरा भारत महान” को मिली बम्पर ओपनिंग, दर्शकों में दिखा उत्साह
पवन सिंह और रवि किशन ने मारी बाजी, “मेरा भारत महान” को मिली बम्पर ओपनिंग
भोजपुरी फिल्मों के दो दिग्गज सुपरस्टार सांसद व मेगा स्टार रवि किशन और पावर स्टार पवन सिंह की रिलीज हुई बहुप्रतीक्षित फ़िल्म “मेरा भारत महान” बम्पर ओपेनिंग लेकर भोजपुरी बॉक्स ऑफिस पर धमाल मचा दिया है. पटना के बीना सिनेमा सहित कई सिनेमाघरों में हॉउसफुल का बोर्ड भी लगा. फ़िल्म के पहले शो में भोजपुरी फ़िल्म देखने वाले दर्शको को भाड़ी हुजूम देखने को मिला. सिनेमा हॉल के बाहर दर्शक तपती धूम में फ़िल्म देखने के लिए कतार में खड़े दिख रहे थे, वहीं सिनेमा हॉल के अंदर फ़िल्म के एक एक सीन और गाने पर दर्शक खूब सीटियां और तालियां बजा रहे थे.
उल्लेखनीय है कि वी प्रांजल फ़िल्म क्रियेशन प्राइवेंट लिमिटेड प्रस्तुत फ़िल्म के निर्माता बिपुल राय द्वारा निर्मित और निर्देशक डीओपी देवेंद्र तिवारी द्वारा निर्देशित फिल्म को लेकर फ़िल्म एक्सपर्ट ने फ़िल्म को लेकर बताया कि यह फ़िल्म इस वर्ष की सबसे मल्टी स्टार वाली फिल्म है, जो ध्वस्त पड़ी भोजपुरी फिल्मों के बिजनेस को फिर से उछाल ला दिया है. यह भोजपुरी सिनेमा के लिए गौरव की बात है.
वहीं फ़िल्म के निर्माता बिपुल राय अपनी फिल्म के सफलता से काफी उत्साहित नज़र आये. उन्होंने इस सफलता का श्रेय पूरी टीम को दिया है. साथ ही फ़िल्म के निर्देशक व डीओपी देवेन्द्र तिवारी ने कहा कि यह फ़िल्म हर वर्ग के दर्शकों के देखने योग्य फ़िल्म बनी है, फ़िल्म में एक से बढ़कर एक कर्णप्रिय गीत संगीत भी परोसा गया है.
गौरतलब है कि इस फ़िल्म में पवन सिंह का नायाब एक्शन देखने को मिल रहा है, साथ ही फिल्म देशभक्ति का जज्बा भी काबिले तारीफ है. वहीं रवि किशन अपने चिर-परिचित अंदाज में नज़र आ रहे हैं. रवि किशन की भूमिका बेहद खास है. लंबे समय बाद वे भोजपुरी स्क्रीन पर दबदबा कायम करते हुए दिखे हैं, वह भी नए अंदाज में.

Marathi-Hindi ANYA Movie Trailer Launched
The upcoming movie ‘Anya’, made in Hindi as well as Marathi, has been increasing the curiosity of the audience along with the cine world for the last several days. The smash hit trailer of ‘Anya’ has just hit the screens. The film is set to release on June 10. The movie is currently being discussed in social media and digital media as the trailer of ‘Anya’, which arouses curiosity, has been well received by the audience.
Producer Shelna K. And Simmy co-produced ‘Anya’ with Capitalwoods under the banner of Initiative Films. This film won two awards, Best Film at the Alvsbyn Film Festival in Sweden, Best First Time Director, and Best Picture at the Falcon International Film Festival (May Edition) in London. The film has received well appreciated reviews at the Global Indian International Film Festival as well as at the Toronto Independent Festival. The film is directed by Simmy Joseph, a renowned director of South Film Industry. Every human being has someone else, someone else within him… Likewise, every good person has a bad person within him… and every bad person has someone else, someone else who is also a good person within… At first sight, after watching the trailer, one realizes that this film is telling the story of a good ‘Anya’. It is seen in the trailer that it touches on the important issues of today such as espionage, truthfulness, sex trafficking, child labour, orphanage, farmer suicides, etc. and presents the idea of change in ‘Anya’ country. The film based on true events and sheds light on human trafficking. An attempt has been made to present the bitter reality and frightening truth of the society on the basis of a documentary.
Simmy Joseph has also written this film and the dialogue has been done by Mahendra Patil. Atul Kulkarni, Raima Sen, Yashpal Sharma, Govind Namdev, Prathamesh Parab, Tejashree Pradhan, Bhushan Pradhan, Krutika Deo, Sunil Tawde will be seen in important roles in this film. Dr. Sagar and Sajeev Sarathi has written songs for Hindi cinema, while Prashant Jamdar for Marathi. Composer Vipin Patwa along with Raam Naath, Rishi S. And Krishna Raaj has composed the music for these songs. Background music is provided by Rohit Kulkarni and cinematography is done by Sajjan Kalathil. Costume design by Neelam Sehtya, choreography by Sabha Mayuri and compilation by Thanuj. Shekhar Ujjainwal is the production designer and Nandu Aachrekar, Robin and Raju are the associate directors.

उत्तर प्रदेश की आजमगढ़ सीट से पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने इस्तीफा दे दिया था, जिसके बाद अब इस सीट से उप-चुनाव होने वाला है, जिसकी तैयारी में सपा जुट गई हैं और भाजपा ने निरहुआ को इस सीट से फतेह हासिल करने के लिए मैदान में उतारा है. इसके साथ ही सपा ने इस सीट को जीतने के लिए डिंपल यादव के नाम पर दाव लगाया है. अब देखना होगा कि वो इस उप-चुनाव को जीतकर पार्टी की गरिमा को बचा पाती हैं या नहीं. ऐसे में बड़ी खबर सामने आ रही है कि भोजपुरी के एक्टर, सिंगर देसी स्टार समर सिंह को पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा बड़ी जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है.
दरअसल, समर सिंह और सपा के अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव ने अनौपचारिक मुलाकात की है, जिसकी फोटोज भी सामने आई है. ऐसे में बताया जा रहा है कि इस मुलाकात का उद्देश्य आजमगढ़ में होने वाले उप-चुनाव के प्रचार की जिम्मेदारी को एक ऐसे कंधे पर सौंपना, जो कि पार्टी की गरिमा को डिंपल सिंह के साथ बचा सके और इस सीट को फतेह कर एक बार फिर से सपा का झंडा बुलंद कर सके. आपको बता दें कि आजमगढ़ से सपा को अभी तक हार नहीं मिली है. इससे पहले मुलायम सिंह यादव इस सीट को लगातार जीतते आए हैं. ये क्षेत्र यादव और मुस्लिम बाहुल्य क्षेत्र है. बीजेपी का निरहुआ को इस सीट से उतारने का मतलब है कि सपा के वोटों में कटौती करना. ऐसे में अब ये मुकाबला कांटे की टक्कर वाला हो गया है.
अब ऐसे में देखना ये होगा कि समर सिंह इस उप-चुनाव में अपनी क्या भूमिका निभाते हैं और कितने हद तक डिंपल सिंह के साथ सीट को बचाने में उनकी मदद कर पाते हैं. हालांकि, एक्टर जोर-शोर से तैयार हैं और वो इस सीट को फतेह करने के लिए कमर कस चुके हैं. उप-चुनाव को जीतने के लिए उनके कंधे पर प्रचार की बड़ी जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है. पार्टी की ओर से उन पर काफी भरोसा जताया गया है. आपको बता दें कि इससे पहले भी समर सिंह अखिलेश यादव और सपा के लिए चुनावी प्रचार करते रहे हैं. उन्होंने पार्टी के लिए कई गाने भी गाए हैं, जो खूब वायरल हो चुके हैं.
बहरहाल, अगर समर सिंह के वर्कफ्रंट की बात की जाए तो हाल ही में उन्होंने यामिनी सिंह के साथ फिल्म ‘प्यार के परवाने’ की शूटिंग अयोध्या में पूरी की है. इसमें दोनों की जोड़ी नजर आने वाली है. इस फिल्म के जरिए इनकी जोड़ी तीसरी बार पर्दे पर रोमांस करेगी. इसके अलावा वो यामिनी सिंह के साथ ही फिल्म ‘फाइटर किंग’ में भी दिखाई देने वाले हैं. इसके साथ ही वो आम्रपाली दुबे के साथ फिल्म ‘परिवर्तन’ में भी दिखाई देंगे.

After grand success of “Miss and Mrs India Global Queen” in February 2021, Dr Neelam added another feather in her journey by successfully conducting the season 2 of “Miss & Mrs Royal Global Queen” on 21st May, 2022 at Club Emerald, Chembur, Mumbai with TOPAZ Events. The pageant had contestants, celebrities, designers & awardees from India & Bangladesh spreading the message of neighbour brotherhood and love .
The online grooming started for all the contestants from India & Bangladesh with esteemed mentors 3 months back.
The Day-1 (20th May) began with a grand welcome to all the contestants in the airport look decided by our official stylist Dhwani Paradia & Akshita Vivek. The contestants were pampered with goodie bags sponsored by Pan Aroma, Rite bite Max Protein, Pal Herbal and T-shirts sponsored by Pan Aroma. It was then followed by runway practice session by Farhid Munshi & Diya Lal. The evening began with a product photo shoot in Gym Look by Rite Bite Max Protein Keep Going; followed by with Ashwin Singh, Rfit India. He introduced Self Defence & fitness sessions. The evening begin with a glamorous DJ party with Sequence outfit look. The party ended with beautifully cake crafted by “The Bake Room”.
The Day-2 (21st May) Semi finales session began with Ganesh Vandana by Riya Thatte (Host & Anchor) & lamp lightening by Dr Neelam, all celebrity & jury. The Star studded Grand Finale Evening of Miss & Mrs Royal Global Queen began with crowning of Bollywood Actress Jyoti Yadav as a Royal Global Queen Brand Ambassador by Show Director & Organiser Dr Neelam Paradia.
It was followed by a cultural parade of all the beautiful contestants in a “National Costume” Round. The Tollywood and Bollywood Actress Flora Saini was jury for this round. The talented contestants exhibited the culture of both the countries in the most innovative way.
The evening became even more glorified by giving token of appreciation to all the generous sponsors with a Queen Trophy. It was then followed with recognition of the exports from various profession with “Royal Global Achiever” award.

The stage looked even more glamorous when all the beautiful contestants walked the ramp in beautiful evening gowns designed by Pooja (Zwala), Shilpa Panjabi (Haute Couture) from India & Maksuda Silat (Need Lifestyle), Tanha Chy, (Tanha’s Style) from Bangladesh.
The Winners, 1st runners up in all the categories (Teen, Miss, Mrs, Mrs Classic & Mrs Platinum) & special queens were crowned by eminent Chief Guests (Dr Khalid Shaikh & Dr Kruti Vajir), Celebrity & Jury along with Dr Neelam.
The social cause of support to physically handicapped trust was well executed with donations to Ganeshan Nadarji to help handicapped people.

Her studio situated on the first floor of her residence was recreated at NGMA besides the powerful ambience for the works, thanks to the efforts of Adwaita Charan Garanayak, Director General, NGMA who has also curated the exhibition.
Rini Dhumal’s retrospective — Shakti is on view from Saturday, 21st May, 2022 onwards.
The preview of the exhibition was graced by Brinda Miller, Nisha Jamwwal, Sudarshan Shetty, Pheroza Godrej, Vilas Shinde, Director General NGMA, Adwait Gadanayak, PD Dhumal, Radhika Dhumal, Shashi Bansal, Kalpana Gandhi, Vinod Sharma, Madhu Sharma, Sanjana Shelat, Jayanti Rabadia, Madhusudan, Jain Kamal, Kuldeep Koregaonkar among others.
The exhibition is on view from Saturday, 21st May, 2022 onwards.
Shakti was scheduled to open in December, 2020, but the COVID -19 pandemic wreaked havoc and thus, the show was postponed by a year. Unfortunately, Rini Dhumal passes away rather unexpectedly in September, 2021. Hence the retrospective.

Kajal Chouhan has bagged the second lead in filmmaker MJ Ramanan’s upcoming movie that will star Sivaji Ganeshan’s grandson Dusshyanth, Ravi Kishan and Maasoom Shankar in pivotal roles.
Titled ‘Shooting Star’ the movie pooja was held at Srinidhi Arts Office in Chennai recently. Speaking about the movie, the filmmaker said, “The story is about how an innocent guy is taken for a ride in this vulturous world.
The film will be a comedy riot, but in the end, it will leave the audience teary-eyed.”
With a multi-star cast, this fun-masala film is a perfect treat for the cine goer.
The shooting commences soon in Mumbai and is planned at some of the picturesque locations in India and abroad.
Kajal, who is making her Kollywood debut, is extremely happy about this project and is excited to kick start her dream Tamil project. Known for her impeccable acting and envious body, Kajal is confident in winning the hearts of the audience with her acting and dance moves.

बॉलीवुड में आजकल सच्ची घटनाओं से प्रेरित काफी फिल्मे बनाई जा रही हैं। एक ऐसे ही सोशल ईशु पर आधारित फिल्म “विशारदा – जर्नी ऑफ एन ऑटिस्टिक चाइल्ड” को शुभ यूनिवर्सल एंटरटेनमेंट प्रस्तुत कर रहा है इन एसोसिएशन विथ संवेदनाएं। यह फ़िल्म एक रियल बच्ची विशारदा पर बेस्ड है। इस की खासियत है कि इस फ़िल्म में विशारदा के रियल माता पिता उनके मां बाप का रोल भी कर रहे हैं। फ़िल्म में विशारदा और उनके मां बाप की जर्नी दिखाई गई है।

आपको बता दें कि शुभराज गुप्ता ने काफी समय तक थिएटर में आर्टिस्ट के रूप में काम किया है। कई रिएलिटी शो वीडियो एडिटर के रूप में किए हैं। हाल ही में उन्होंने अपना प्रोडक्शन हाउस शुभ यूनिवर्सल एंटरटेनमेंट शुरु किया है जिसके तहत कई अवार्ड विनिंग शॉर्ट फिल्मे बनाई हैं।
शुभराज गुप्ता ने बताया कि जितने बच्चे ऑटिस्टिक होते हैं, आमतौर पर उनके पैरेंट्स कभी स्वीकार नहीं करते कि उनके बच्चे इस मानशिक स्थिति से पीड़ित हैं। बहुत सारे लोगों को तो इस मानशिक स्थिति के बारे में पता ही नहीं है। इस फ़िल्म को बनाने का हमारा मकसद यह है कि ऐसे बच्चों के मां बाप यह स्वीकार कर लें कि उनका बच्चा ऑटिस्टिक है। लोग छुपाते हैं क्योंकि उन्हें लगता है कि यह एक डिसेबिलिटी है और दूसरों पर इसका अच्छा प्रभाव नहीं पड़ेगा। इस फ़िल्म को बनाने के पीछे हमारा लक्ष्य यह है कि अधिक से अधिक लोग इस मानशिक स्थिति के बारे में जानें और सरकार तक यह बात पहुंचे। उनके इलाज, शिक्षा के लिए सरकार कुछ सहयोग करे। लोगों को और सरकार को इस बारे में अवेयर करने के मकसद से इसे बनाया जा रहा है। विशारदा के रोल के लिए अभी किसी आर्टिस्ट को फाइनल नहीं किया गया हैं लेकिन जल्द ही सेलेक्शन होगा। स्क्रीप्ट पर काम चल रहा है, इसी महीने शूटिंग शुरू होगी। इसका पोस्ट प्रोडक्शन जून में शुरू होगा और जल्द ही यह फ़िल्म महोत्सवों में दिखाई जाएगी। इसे स्कूल कॉलेज में भी दिखाया जाएगा। लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए एक मुहिम भी शुरू की जाएगी।
यह एक एनजीओ संवेदनाएं की मदद से बनाई जा रही है, जो ऑटिस्टिक बच्चों के लिए काम करती है। इसके साथ ही एनजीओ शुभ यूनिवर्सल फाउंडेशन भी है।

SHABDH – Ode unto the WORD Curated by Kalashri Dr Lata Surendra Celebrating Dance through coloring dance forms on May at Mysore Association Auditorium
A very interesting festival celebrating Dance Day unfolded on May1’2022, at the Mysore Assosciation auditorium, Mumbai. The festival curated by renowned Bharata Natyam exponent,Teacher, choreographer Writer ,Curator Kalashri Lata Surendra defined a unique theme – SHABDH – An Ode Unto the WORD.
The festival had legends, seasoned artists and the promising dancers bringing to life the theme through their colouring styles. Padmashri Darshana Jhaveri reached out with ‘Madhava’ the one word and the one name that stirred Radha’s heart but this time it was uttered in exasperation as a ‘Khandita Nayik in a a very subdued and suggestive manner in keeping with the Radhabhav in the Manipuri dance form.Padmashri. I leana Citaristi highlighted the one name ‘jagannath’ through the poem written during the time of Covid, with script by Ardhiya Sethi. Her reaching out was impacting with its evocative refrain ‘ Jagannath speaks to me’. Renowned Mohini attam Exponent & SNA awardee Mandakini Trivedi reached out with the One word that changed Kunti ‘s life – the mantra invoking Surya – Sun God. The gripping scene between Kunti and Karna was presented with calculated awareness and with the fluid ease coming with the mastery of the style -The scene and its aftermath left all with a feeling that at times a discreet silence was truly better than words! This was followed by a gripping interpretation of the ‘Two Vows – an episode from Ramcharitmanas by Saint Tulsidas by the dynamic and charismatic artist Vidushi Shila Mehta. Three generations came together to define Shabdh as the Lord’s name Hari! Dr Jayshree Rajagopalan the well-known Exponent, mentor, researcher and prime disciple of the legend Padma Bhushan Padma Subramanium with her daughter – the talented and seasoned Exponent Aishwarya Venkatesh and Grand-daughter Varshini. Then came renowned dancer Arundhati Patwardhan daughter and disciple of Legendary Guru Dr Suchita Bhide Chaphekar who reached out with a dance- theatre presentation etching Saint Tukaram’s refrain of the one WORD – Vithoba Curator Kalashri Lata Surendra reached out with the one name that aligned all oddities through the interesting creation of Ganesha – the son who remained the weakness and strength of Mother Parvati, whose love for him defined the merciful and the merciless, as she finds his head severed by Lord Shiva.
There were several scintillating performances by Seasoned Artists and Mentors – Kathak Exponent, imaginative choreographer and mentor Manisha Jeet & Disciples with an interesting exploring of the potency of the Word, Graceful Odissi exponent Prachi Mehta defining Mother through the characters of Devaki and Yashoda.

‘भाऊ का सिक्का’ गाने की शूटिंग के मौके पर हिंदुस्तानी भाऊ ने मीडिया से रू-ब-रू होते हुए कहा, “मैं निर्माता पीवी हांडा और शैली अरोड़ा हांडा का बेहद शुक्रगुज़ार हूं कि उन्होंने मुझ जैसे शख्स को इस गाने में लेने के बारे में सोचा. नये लोगों और नई प्रतिभाओं को मौका देना आज की सबसे बड़ी ज़रूरत है, वर्ना तमाम प्रतिभाशाली लोग संघर्ष करते-करते दम तोड़ देते हैं और उन्हें कोई पूछता तक नहीं है. मुझे उम्मीद है कि सोशल मीडिया में मेरे वीडियोज़ से हटकर दिखनेवाला मेरा ये नया अंदाज़ लोगों को ख़ूब पसंद आएगा.”
इस मौके पर निर्माता हैली अरोड़ा हांडा ने कहा, “हम नई-नई प्रतिभाओं को मौका देने और उन्हें आगे बढ़ाने में यकीन रखते हैं. इन दोनों गाने के माध्यम से हमने यही कोशिश की है और आगे भी इसी परंपरा को आगे बढ़ाते हुए मधुर और अर्थपूर्ण गाने लोगों को पेश करते रहेंगे.”
जाने-माने गीतकार व संगीतकार प्रवीण भारद्वाज द्वारा लिखे गाने ‘भाऊ का सिक्का’ के बोल हिंदुस्तानी भाऊ के उदार चरित्र को ध्यान में रखकर लिखे गये हैं. गाने को डायरेक्ट कर रहे आर. राजा ने इस गाने की ख़ासियत के बारे में कहा, “हिंदुस्तानी भाऊ से जब मैं पहली दफ़ा मिलने गया तो मैंने ख़ुद अपनी आंखों से देखा कि कैसे वो अपने आसपास ज़रूरतमंद लोगों की मदद करने में हमेशा आगे रहते हैं. इस गाने में भी हमने उनके इसी निस्वार्थ भाव से लोगों की मदद करनेवाले स्वभाव को चित्रित करने की कोशिश की है. असल ज़िंदगी में भाऊ एक-दूसरे से नफ़रत करनेवालों को प्यार करना सिखाते हैं और इस गाने के ज़रिए भी वो लोगों को अमन का पैगाम देते नज़र आएंगे.”

यह सुनिश्चित करते हुए कि कार्यकारी समिति की अभिनेताओं द्वारा सहन की गई कई चुनौतियों की मान्यता सदस्यों द्वारा महसूस की गई थी और यह कि वे गड़बड़ियों को दूर करने के लिए कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ेंगे। उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्ट रूप से कहा कि एकता ही ताकत है और संघ को सामूहिक लड़ाई लड़नी चाहिए।
जबकि सिंटा ने हमेशा चैनल्स, प्रोड्यूसर्स एसोसिएशन और प्रोड्यूसर्स से संपर्क किया है ताकि वे अपने सदस्यों की परेशानियों को कम करने के तरीके खोज सकें, लेकिन बहुत अधिक उत्साहजनक प्रतिक्रियाएं नहीं मिली हैं। एसोसिएशन हर मुद्दे से लड़ने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। ओटीटी अभिनेताओं के लिए काम पाने के लिए एक बढ़ता हुआ मंच है और हालांकि सिंटा अपने शासी कानूनों के तहत कास्टिंग एजेंट के रूप में कार्य नहीं कर सकता है, वे निश्चित रूप से एक सुविधाकर्ता के रूप में विकल्प तलाशेंगे। उन्होंने यह भी उल्लेख किया कि CINTAA अपने सदस्यों के लिए अवशिष्ट और रॉयल्टी के लिए लड़ने के लिए तैयार है।
सरकार तक पहुंचना चाहे वह I & B हो, श्रम, सांस्कृतिक या यहां तक कि वित्त भी एक सतत प्रक्रिया होगी, FIA से समर्थन और सहायता मांगना एक अतिरिक्त प्रयास होगा। चूंकि CINTAA का FWICE के साथ समझौता है, इसलिए वे संयुक्त और सामान्य मुद्दों पर FWICE का समर्थन भी लेंगे।
वार्षिक आम बैठक ने एजेंडे के सभी प्रस्तावों को मंजूरी दी।

The Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) is one of the leading and most recognized associations for the performers community in India and an affiliate of the International Federation of Actors (FIA). The members present on the dais were Darshan Jariwala (Vice President), Amit Behl (Hon General Secretary), Rajeshwari Sachdev (Sr. Joint Secretary), Abhay Bhargava (Treasurer) Sanjay Bhatia (Joint Secretary) along with other EC members Tina Ghai, Jaya Bhattacharya, Hetal Parmar, Ravi Jhankal, Deepak Qazir, Rashid Mehta, Ghanshyam Srivastav and Vikas Verma.
A tribute was given to deceased CINTAA members Siddharth Shukla, Ghanshyam Nayak, Arvind Trivedi, Nitin Malhotra, Baldev Trehan, Madhavi Gogate-Barve, Mushtaq Merchant, Arun Verma, Ramesh Deo, Sanjay Kumar, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Akash Nath, Shiv Subramaniam, Manju Singh, Arun Khanna and Salim Ghouse.
Pankaj Dheer, Chairman of Cine Artists Welfare Trust shared the good news of the receipt of the final occupancy certificate of the CINTAA Tower building. He also added that work was on to create a state-of-the-art Auditorium and a cafeteria besides other amenities. The bid was to generate maximum revenue from the building and lease, and the rentals would be for the welfare and well-being of CINTAA members, he divulged.
During the course of the meeting, nearly an hour was spent answering a volley of questions raised by CINTAA members. From casting issues, to non-timely payments to actors, from health and safety to hygiene protocols, substandard food served on the sets to lack of transport facilities, each grievance was taken up by the Hon Gen Secretary Amit Behl in the most honest and healthy manner, ensuring that the executive committee’s recognition of the multiple challenges endured by actors was felt by the members and that they shall spare no effort to iron out the glitches. He also categorically stated that unity is strength and that the association must put up a collective fight.
While CINTAA have always approached the Channels, Producers’ Association and producers to find ways to mitigate the troubles of their members, there have not been too many encouraging responses. The association stays committed to fight every issue. OTT is a growing platform for actors to get work and though CINTAA under its governing laws cannot function as a casting agent, they will certainly explore options as a facilitator. They also mentioned that CINTAA is ready to fight for residuals and royalties for their members.
Reaching out to the Government be it I & B, Labour, Cultural or even Finance would be an ongoing process, soliciting support and assistance from FIA would be an added effort. Since CINTAA has an MOU with FWICE they will also take FWICE’s support on joint and common issues.
The Annual General Meeting approved all of the resolutions on the agenda.

“Sati” is a thought-provoking visual portrayal showcasing the dark past of India. A woman who has stepped into an afterlife with her husband, a woman who has been a ‘dutiful’ wife, a woman who has traveled an extra mile through forced traditions and beliefs, a woman who ‘commits’ SATI. Illustrating intense subjects in every twirl and swirl, Sati aims to educate society on women’s empowerment in the form of dance.
This concept has plagued society and has become a tool to enforce the norms of patriarchy. Women have stayed quiet for too long, experiencing them fighting back and having their stories heard, their pleas answered through the expression of dance. Sati sheds light on the dark past of India and how it is still oppressing women in this day and age.
Directed & Choreographed by Saiba Sayed, he specializes in Indo-contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, salsa, kathak, body anatomy, and more with over 20 years of experience, he has successfully trained over 200 celebrities, 20,000 school children, and 100 corporates in various countries across the globe, quotes saying “In fond memory of my mother, I give you Sati. A saga of the sacrifice of women who have been adjusting and sacrificing for ages. Suppressed & abused by society, family & children. A 60 mins tribute to all the women, who know nothing but love”
Executive Producer Ekta Anand says ” A social evil practiced among Hindu communities where a recently widowed woman, either voluntarily or by force, immolates herself on her deceased husband’s pyre. Sati’ may be a thing of the past but widows continue to face social discrimination in different forms in the modern era. I along with the team, Saiba Sayed, and Anchal Chavan bring to you a 60 mins play of contemporary dance with drama, emotions & a strong message. We have all heard about sati, the cruel practice of making a widow burn herself alive on the funeral pyre of her dead husband.
